I think it is useful as long as it is not overdone because I can use my time much more efficiently thanks to online meetings. But in normal meetings, its place is important in terms of team communication. Both have their own benefits for this.

When I was in college, my original purpose (number one reason) of attending it was to socialize with people and experience the organization, then studying as my second intend. The change to online class/meeting was a letdown for me, and I didn't accept this very good :(
