In my town there is a festival that takes place every year at the end of September. It's called "Pumpkin Days". There are people who are engaged in the cultivation of pumpkins all year round, especially caring for and feeding them. At the festival, the measurement of the pumpkins is then organized, the contestants register in advance. The measurement is public and everyone can watch because it all takes place in the town square. The winner gets valuable prizes. I think the winner at the last festival was a pumpkin which weighed around 350 kilograms. In addition, vendors display their products for sale throughout the day. There is food, treats, toys for children, clothes... and concerts are held in the evening. Thousands of people visit this festival every year, not only from all over Serbia, but also from the surrounding countries. We have the most tourists from Romania because my city is very close to the border with Romania.

My country is formed by hundreds of tribes and regions, and every regions tend to have their own festivals... haha
But there is an annual event that's being held by every people across the country, That is The Independence Day (widely known as 17an; read"tujuh belasan"). This one-day festival is usually being held in your local area, there's many competitions being held and you get a chance to participate and get the prizes.
The point of this event is so we can get along with the local neighborhood and since it's the independence day of the country, it can be held by every single region without tribes border :)
