What were you doing when you first heard about the Covid-19 disease? Where were you, what did you think? Has your country experienced a similar epidemic before?

It was a very difficult period indeed. We are still feeling the consequences and I think we will feel them for a long time to come. The first patient in Serbia was in my town. After that, the pandemic spread throughout Serbia. Since I was working in catering then, we didn't stop working even during the curfew. We had special permits to move and we did food delivery all over the city. When I remember! It is interesting and good that none of us got the virus during that time, and not even after that.

It must be really hard to work when everyone is scared. I understand you very well. It was a really difficult time in Turkey as well. When it first appeared, we felt sorry for other countries and for some reason we thought as if it would not come to our country. But it came. Our hospitals are really good. So we have quite a lot of hospitals. Intensive care conditions are also improved. That's why we didn't have much difficulty in that direction, but we could never stop the spread of the disease. In particular, a group of people did not believe that they had the disease and did not even wear a mask. As a result of their behavior, the disease progressed much faster. When they became ill, they believed then. I was also working in a pharmaceutical company at the time. I was promoting drugs. Therefore, staying at home during the pandemic meant not being able to see my doctors and pharmacies. All my hard work could have gone to waste. In this respect, we were under serious pressure not to lose the market. It was a very difficult day for me too, maybe that's why I'm not working at that job today. I quit my job and became an academic. The funniest and maybe the saddest part is that I haven't been covid for years. I wasn't even on the way to and from the hospital. I didn't when I was pregnant, I gave birth to my child and we got covid next week :)) It was infected by a guest.

Oh, imagine after all this time that a guest gives you a virus! What a set of circumstances! I have to ask you, did that guest know he had the virus when he came to visit you?

She knew he was sick when he arrived. She said he had a very serious illness. But she wasn't sure if it was covid. She said I am better now. In fact, she always wore a mask when she was at home. But it wasn't enough. Yes, I was very scared because my mother, my husband's mother, my husband's sister, my father, my husband and I got completely sick. Strangely enough, it didn't pass to the baby, or if it did, it didn't get over severe. But there was someone coughing in every room, it was very bad. I'm laughing now, but my psychology was very broken. :))

I believe you, it must have been a really difficult time for you. I think the biggest fear was for the baby. But, luckily, it passed!

I was in China back then. My family asked me to leave but I chose to stay even though it was very scary.

The pandemic started in China first, if I'm not mistaken? I think that immediately after that it came to us, to Serbia.

It must have been a pretty difficult choice. Because it is a decision made without knowing the extent of the disease, without knowing its danger. I wasn't sure if I could have made the same decision. Although, after that, we realized that leaving was not the solution either. Because it is officially infected the world.
