Tests

There are 5 types of test:
- Word tests
- Sentence tests
- Listening tests
- My words
- My sentences
We will discuss each of them below.
Word Tests – Reinforce Your Vocabulary and Improve Recall
If you have used the Lessons feature, you may have noticed that each word in the sentences appears in its own box. When you click on a word’s box, it is automatically added to your learning loop. This means the word will appear in your Word Tests, which is designed to help you refresh and reinforce your memory.
Word Tests is a tool that test your ability to recall and translate words. In these tests, you’ll be prompted to guess the translation of each word, either in your learning language or in your interface language. There are three types of Word Tests: Translate from Audio, Multiple Choice, and Write Translation.
- Translate from Audio: You will hear the word spoken in the learning language and will need to write down its translation in your interface language.
- Multiple Choice: A word in your interface language will appear at the top, and you’ll need to select its correct translation from multiple options provided below.
- Write Translation: You will see a word at the top (either in your learning language or interface language) and will need to type its translation in the opposite language.
To maximize your progress, it is highly recommended to complete Word Tests every day. If you have clicked on many words during your lessons, your vocabulary list may be extensive, and your Word Tests will be divided into multiple batches. If you answer one or more questions incorrectly in a batch, those questions will reappear until you answer them correctly before moving on to the next batch.
It’s important to avoid making repeated mistakes in succession. Accumulating too many consecutive errors can reduce your score. For the best learning results, it is advised to continue completing Word Tests until there are no questions remaining. This is referred to as “clearing your Word Tests.” When you see the “Empty Vocabulary” notification (as shown in the screenshot below), it means you have successfully completed all the words in your current test.
If you skip a day and do not complete the Word Test for that day, the number of questions will increase the following day. If you skip multiple days, the number of words in the test will accumulate, which can make the test feel overwhelming. This is another reason why it is important to complete Word Tests regularly.
Sentence Tests – Strengthen Your Vocabulary and Grammar Skills
Sentence Tests are designed to help you practice both your vocabulary and grammar skills in the language you are learning. Unlike Word Tests, the sentences that appear in Sentence Tests are not limited to those you’ve encountered in lessons; they are drawn from a broader range of material to further challenge your understanding.
In a Sentence Test, you will see a sentence in your interface language displayed at the top, and your task is to translate it into the language you are learning. Sentence Tests function similarly to Word Tests. The test is divided into several batches, and if you answer a question incorrectly, it will reappear until you provide the correct answer. Only after all questions in the current batch are answered correctly will you proceed to the next batch.
By regularly completing Sentence Tests, you can strengthen your ability to form accurate sentences in the learning language and improve your overall fluency.
Listening Tests – Improve Your Listening Skills
The Listening Tests are designed to help you enhance your listening comprehension. In these tests, you will listen to various audio recordings of sentences and practice writing them down accurately. Unlike the sentences covered in the lessons, the audio content here can include new phrases, similar to the Sentence Tests.
Each Listening Test features an audio player icon at the top. Simply click the icon to listen to the recording, and once you're ready, type what you hear in the box below. As with other tests, the questions are organized into batches. If you answer a question incorrectly, the same audio will play again until you provide the correct answer. Only after answering all questions correctly will you be able to proceed to the next batch.
These Listening Tests are essential for improving your ability to comprehend spoken language, making it easier to understand native speakers and engage in daily conversations with confidence.
My Words and My Sentences Tests – Personalize Your Learning Experience
The design and purpose of My Words and My Sentences tests are similar to the Word Tests and Sentence Tests, with the key difference being the content of the questions. In these sections, only the words and sentences you manually add will appear as questions, offering a highly personalized testing experience. This means that each user will receive a unique set of questions based on the words and sentences they input.
My Words Tests are especially beneficial for advanced users who wish to expand their vocabulary with more complex terms. However, even beginner users can take advantage of this feature by adding new, essential words that may not appear in the lessons but are important for everyday communication.
Similarly, My Sentences Tests provide an excellent opportunity to practice newly learned grammar rules. By creating simple sentences based on specific rules, you can focus on understanding how each rule functions without the complication of other grammar concepts. As you progress, you can gradually increase the complexity of your sentences to match your growing understanding of the language.

There are three types of Word Tests:
- Translate from Audio: Click the speaker button to listen to the audio (in your learning language). Then, write the translation in your interface/native language in the provided box.
- Radio Button: This is a multiple-choice test. You need to select the correct translation of the given word.
- Write Translation: You need to write the translation of the word in blue in the provided box.
After answering the test, if your answer is incorrect, the correct answer will appear in the green box. If you need to see the word in context, you can review the example sentences below. You can also listen to the audio of the word and sentences by clicking the speaker button.
However, if you accidentally click the "Enter" button before finishing your answer, or if you know the correct answer but got it wrong for that particular question, you can click the three dots next to the "Next" button for an option to review.
By clicking I knew this, you will mark that question as "correct".
If you're confident that you know this word and don't want to repeat it in the test, you can click either "Hide Forever" or choose how many days you'd like to hide the word so it won't appear in the Word Test.
There is also option to add note on the top right corner:
You can write notes for the word that appears in the question. Once the note is saved, it will be available for review on the "My Vocabulary" page.
If you answer correctly, a green pop-up will appear saying "Correct Answer," and the counter for correct answers will increase by one. The screen will then move to the next question.
There is also an "I Don't Know" button below each question, which works the same as selecting a wrong answer.
After completing all the questions in the batch, any incorrect answers will be shown again until all questions are answered correctly. Once all are correct, a new batch will appear, and this process will continue until all questions in the learning loop are answered correctly.
This is similar for both Sentence Tests and Listening Tests. For Sentence Tests, only the "Write Translation" test type is available. For Listening Tests, you only need to write the sentence you hear from the provided audio, without translating it.
"My Words" and "My Sentences" tests are similar to Word Tests and Sentence Tests in the test flow. The difference is that on these pages, only the custom words and sentences you’ve input will appear.
