There are a lot of small children in my family right now, so we often watch cartoons during the day :) Do you sometimes watch cartoons even though you are an adult? I do! :)))

I like watching cartoons. But right now there are no children in our family. The only child is my child and he is not even 1 year old yet, so we are not watching anything right now. :)) That's why I'm a little far from new cartoons. But I don't like the cartoons being made right now. I'm always looking for what I watched in my childhood, maybe I'm looking for my childhood. Tom and Jerry, Smurfs Village, Bugs Bunny, The jetsons, Scooby Doo etc. But if I look critically, we see that most of these cartoons contain violence. Did he think it was okay to hit someone back then? Or Tom was hitting Jerry but Jerry was going on with his life with nothing, and he was trying to hurt Tom, and neither was permanently harmed, and that was portrayed as hilarious. Did it create the perception that "If I hit someone when I'm angry, nothing really happens" when we watched cartoons? What do you think?

I think that back then it was not characterized as real violence, more like some kind of mischief. Today's cartoons contain much more violence, which in my opinion has a bad effect on children. Tom and Jerry are more like symbolism, it is generally accepted among the people that cats hunt mice, so a cartoon was made based on that. I also liked to watch Bugs Bunny, Scooby-Doo and Road Runner :)

Yes, maybe you're right. Because the strange thing is that there were no such discussions in my childhood. So we knew that hitting someone was actually bad. It seems to me that there is more violence in the cartoons published now. But sometimes I'm afraid of being biased because I love these cartoons so much :))
