Most people learn a language through context. But learning just context without learning vocabulary is like drinking water using your hands. You can drink water, but you can’t drink all the water that was poured on you because some falls into the ground.
Use a glass, don’t waste anything!
Langoid Lessons will help you to learn every word in each lesson you pass.
Yes, you read it right, every word will be in your long-term memory.
How?
These words will be added to your vocabulary and will be learned using Tests.
New words must be reviewed, of course. Not once but many times. That’s why, a lot of people stop learning because of this reviewing stage.
If you have 20 words to learn, it’s ok, but if you have 1000 words that you need to remember to achieve a specific level then it’s very tiring,... and boring.
So grouping of words into smaller parts will be great right?
And good news, it’s implemented in Langoid Tests!!!
How does it work?
Once you get the total number of words you must review, it will not ask you all at once but divide it into smaller parts.
The number of words per 1 review is smaller at the beginning and increases as you progress but there is an upper limit to prevent having too many words per single review.
That way, you will never be bored because of that too big review you can’t handle.
Now,
Is learning vocabulary enough?
Of course not!
Mastering your speaking, listening, reading and writing is very important. You cannot say that you learned a language if you don’t know these things.
Want to learn them? Looking for another source for this?
In Langoid, there is no need. Everything you need is here. Literally, everything.
You can practice these in Tasks and in Chat. But Tasks alone are enough.
What are Tasks?
Tasks are the place where you can write your own stories, read stories, listen to stories, and translate other stories either from your native language or to your native language, whatever you prefer. You can even do both.
Writing stories is a good practice when it comes to constructing sentences. Someone will correct your story and the users will choose the perfect correction. And then you can use that perfect story to practice reading it. And again, someone will correct you by sending you an audio of how to read it properly. You can also challenge yourself to translate other stories. That is a great exercise.
Most people forget to improve their listening in terms of learning a language. For them, speaking is enough. But in reality, you cannot communicate if you don’t know how to listen. You will end up fighting because you misunderstood the other person. So learn to listen! Practice that in Tasks.
Listen to as many stories as possible. You will write what you hear, and don’t worry, someone will correct you once you hear different things. Better to be corrected than learn wrongly.
Let’s go to Chat!
This isn’t an ordinary chat. But a learning tool. Same as in tasks, the person whom you are chatting with who knows the language you are learning will correct you.
But it doesn’t end there, unlike the other apps which have this option, here, you can add those words that were used in chat in your vocabulary and review them in a test.
One more thing, chat has an integrated translator. If you forgot a single word in the sentence, you have a friend there. But remember, you cannot cheat. You can search just words, not translate the whole sentence. Gotcha!
Maybe you are wondering why there is no integrated Google translate or similar functionality, but the problem with translating whole sentences is you will not put effort into learning the rules.
In conclusion, using these options in Langoid will help you learn and improve your target language a lot. This is not a simple learning app, but it’s an everything learning app. It’s your new best friend.
Happy Learning! :)
